** We use only the best steel table slides on the
market which are guaranteed not to sag.
** On a small table, we use two four-section,
36 inch long slides (closed) that cost $135.00.
**On a table with five 24-inch wide leaves, we
would use two five-section, 72-inch slides that cost $600.00. The above
leaf prices, which include the cost of the slides, can vary up or down
depending on the number of leaves and the width of the leaves. For ways of
storing leaves when not in use…ask us.
Figured Woods:
** Unless already noted in the price list, we charge
extra for exotic and figured woods such as bubinga, lacewood, curly cherry,
ambrosia maple, curly maple, birdseye maple and quilted maple. The cost for
using it on the top of an average size table (45 x 84) could range from
$100.00 to $1500.00, depending on the selection.
Finishes:
We offer hand rubbed oil finishes and various kinds of
lacquer finishes. As with all aspects of making a fine piece of
furniture at Haley-Daniels, a great deal of attention is given to the
finishing of a piece. Specific details can be given upon request. We use two
very good products, Clear Danish Tung Oil by Deft, Inc. and our lacquers by
Jellico Coatings in Louisville, KY. But a good finish is not only in the
What; it’s also in the How.
